Engels Conversatie (B1 en B2)

In this course, applicants for both levels B1 and B2 levels can apply.

The teacher will adjust the level to your abilities.

B1: Applicants for this course must have a basic knowledge of the English Language. They have to be able to understand the main points of a conversation, although their vocabulary may not be extensive. The purpose of the course is to help learners build up a vocabulary and be able to take part in a conversation about general topics that they encounter at school, work, and leisure activities. They should be able to learn to deal with situations likely to arise in the area where English is spoken, on topics which are familiar to them. They should be able to describe experiences and events, hopes and ambitions. They should be able to explain a viewpoint and give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

B2: Applicants have attained the B1 level. The purpose of the course is to have the learners understand the main ideas of complex discussions on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his or her field of specialisation. They should be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Should be able to make clear detailed conversations on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
